Gut Health (Part 1)

Gut health is the function & balance of bacteria of the many parts of the Gastrointestinal tract (GIT).

A healthy Gut contributes to a strong immune system, heart health, brain health, improved mood, healthy sleep, effective digestion (Prevents Bloating, Constipation, Abdominal discomfort like gases, acidity etc.). Also, it prevents some Cancers & Autoimmune diseases.


An imbalance of unhealthy & healthy microbes in the intestine may contribute to weight gain (Obesity), high blood sugar, high cholesterol & other disorders like skin irritations, food intolerances.


Recommended Use of:

  1. Amla or Vitamin C

  2. Apple (Pectin Fibre)

  3. Curd


Monitoring & upgrading B12 & D3 levels regularly.

Dietary Guidelines for Healthy Gut:

  1. Recommended use of Fermented foods (Not recommended for the persons suffering from acidity)

  2. Regular use of Fibre (2 types): Soluble & Insoluble – Especially whole grains in regular diet

  3. Regular intake of coloured vegetables & fruits

  4. Probiotics & Prebiotics in routine diet

  5. Minimum use of medications like Antibiotics (unwanted medications or maximum use of antibiotics may change good bacterial flora of digestion system & may cause Diarrhoea, Nausea, Vomiting & other GIT side effects)
